Music Beyond the Street – Shakti Orchestra & Yogi Isha

What is night to all beings, is the time of awakening for the Sage (muni).
And when the day of worldly activity dawns for beings, then for the sage, the self-seeing one, it is the darkness of night.

The Bhagavad Gita

We do not create music. It has existed since the very beginning.

The human mind and civilization have created a vast array of diverse music. For some, music is a profession, for others a hobby, and then there are those for whom music is a ship on which they embark on the journey beyond. Only by going beyond can the most important thing that can happen take place – encounters with one's own Self.

The clamor of the day, like a bustling street, constantly distracts and prevents the mind from calming down. Only when we go beyond this bustling street can we truly hear the Music that comes from the center of our being. Only there, in the silence, when the mind's street activities are left behind, can we hear and feel the sounds of this music, which is the harbinger of the Great Meeting with the Self, with Truth, with God.
