Waters of Akshara – Yogi Isha & Shakti Orchestra

TWELVE TRANSCENDENT POEMS

Existence is hidden from our eyes.
But it’s always here, it’s always around us,
it’s always in us, and it’s also ourselves.
That’s like a music on the other side of the street...
What’s there on the other side of the street?
What is hidden behind the screen of our eyes?
I'm staring and feel the presence...
In the pleats of the world Transcendence is hidden!

Verse I
I will pour out my words,
The grain will yield itself to Earth,
Death is the door to Life,
Where I am in you, and you are in me!

Everything has its own source,
From little streams Ocean grows,
And the stone that was rejected –
Has nonetheless become Cornerstone!

Verse II
I know that Pain
Will open the Door for me,
And dream will dissolve,
Like sugar in water.
And night is day,
Only without Sun in the sky.
For me – it is Night…
When I see no Sun within!

Verse III
In drops of measured Time,
Within the stream of Dreams,
The Soul drifts like a boat.
Hopes remain without a master,
And the dice in the game... are thrown,
Yet each has found its place.
Aiming the arrow,
All targets converge toward the center.
Strike at least one!
O warrior of uncharted joy!
O son of pure dreams!

Verse IV
Life seeps through
Through mazes of dreams,
Daily layer of illusions,
Through thousands of thoughts
And countless feelings.
Life seeps through,
Taut with tension,
Then…
When within words, words are absent.
Life seeps through,
Unseen, only heard,
As the heart beats,
Something is amiss.
Not as always,
Customarily, vainly, crowded.
Then…
When there is no life.

Verse V
Drop by drop, the pain
Flows from the heart into the abyss.
Darkness consumes; only a sound is heard,
As the treacherous foe prepares.

With a spy's cunning it infiltrates,
Diligently pursuing its task –
Tearing holes within Space,
Destroying the Heart, knowing no measure.

But pain, like the Lord's Chalice,
Waters my unseen body.
Within it, true power shall be born,
So that I may see the Light through the holes.

Verse VI
I am days and nights,
A wandering in time.
And doors wide open –
I am carried away.
Nowhere to hide,
Unceasingly forward.
A kiss is needless
To him who asks.
I will find the body –
The Soul’s refuge.
I will drink from the Chalice...
I have had enough.

Verse VII
I am here… and once again these mists,
Not every day, but still.
I am here… and again these deceptions,
The illusion you hold so dear.

With a thousand hands I touched you,
I drank your wine from your palm
With a thousand lips, searching for myself
In you… and again found myself captive.

Illusion is life
To one who knows eternity,
Like a cosmic game,
Like the sounds of Krishna’s flute.

Verse VIII
Dawn
Just a little more… one last moment,
And the Sun, as the world’s own creation,
Will rise… will gaze upon us all
And gently share its warmth.

Day
Day unfolds, just like a bird,
The wings of Life and worries.
And everything so draws us,
And blood dances in our veins!

Dusk
All worries of the Day are left behind,
Sounds quieten, colors swoon,
And Sun, as if God to us,
Sends grace of unseen Power.

Night
Night, a lover, or perhaps salvation,
From needless words, from filth, from thoughts,
Comes to all, to every creature,
And takes all things… leaving only Love.

Verse IX
At dawn you will awaken and feel
How gently it touches  –  or perhaps it kisses,
Wrapping you in warmth, echoing in your soul
Like the soft sigh of a tender sorrow.
The gaze will pierce and will not turn away,
As Mind unveils what Memory hides
Beneath the veil of the world, mirrored in the eyes.
And Light will rise again, as Memory reveals
The secret words and hidden glory
Of the river’s imperceptible flow,
Within the eternal time of the water’s stream.
When the eyes perceive, the heart will quicken,
And clearly sense the touch of the Hand,
That guides all things, and none shall falter,
Even unaware that the path must be walked.
This is the hidden power of the flower’s flight,
The gentle touch of its tender petals,
It is magical streams awaken you,
Reviving the flow with its own kiss.

Verse X
Rivers no longer flow,
All has merged into the Ocean,
Worlds drift like painted visions,
I have lost the count of time.

Flowers grow upon the earthly fields,
I breathe their gentle scent,
And hear their quiet song,
Like a touch upon my hands.

Life – a bittersweet instant
Within the eternity of lives,
And, by chance, someone dared
To say they had loved.

Verse XI
The Moon in the sky, the Moon in the soul,
Constantly it carries out its role.
I want something, or maybe not.
The Moon in the sky, the Moon in the soul.

All the waters around lift up their hands,
Rising to the sky, and also within me.
A wave will rise, then quietly recede.
Nature dies, Nature lives.

Verse XII
And again, memories come at night,
Between two worlds,
Spread out like a veil.
I pick up the code,
Like keys to a door,
To what once was,
What is now, and that
Which I am yet to live.
